The Microsoft Teams Meeting tool found in Blackboard makes it easy to schedule a Teams meeting through your course site. In the process, you'll create a link that posts to Blackboard which students can use to access the meeting.
To create a Teams Meeting in Blackboard, click the + button in your course content area, then choose Content Market.

On the Content Market page, locate and select Microsoft Teams Meeting.

This will launch a "Welcome to Microsoft Teams meetings" page. Click the Sign in button at the bottom.

You'll already be logged into Detroit Mercy's Office 365 (as part of your Blackboard login), so you should get pushed right to the "Create Teams meetings for your course page." Click the Create a Meeting Link button.

On the New Meeting page, you'll want to enter a name for your meeting as well as the start and end date and times. Click CREATE to finish the process.

This will push you to a confirmation page that includes the meeting info. Click the ADD TO CALENDAR button at the bottom of the page. This will add the meeting to your Blackboard Course Calendar. At the same time, it will copy the meeting link to your computer's clipboard.

Now, you'll probably want to add a link to the meeting inside your course. You can add a link to a text box in a document, or use the Add Link tool (click for instructions) to post the link as its own content area item.
