There are many options you can use to stay informed of Blackboard activity, including stream, email, and push notifications. Sometimes, even if you have your notification settings the way you'd like, you still don't receive Blackboard emails. If this is happening to you (especially as a student), try the following:
- Make sure you're receiving any emails at all in your Detroit Mercy account. If you are not, reach out to ITS at 313-993-1500 or helpdesk@udmercy.edu.
- Double check those notification settings.
- Check your Junk email box. If you find those "missing" emails there, you can change that by adding donotreply@blackboard.com to your Outlook Safe Senders list. These directions from Microsoft will show you how to do that on Outlook.com.
- If you're a student, and it's only course announcements which are missing, speak with your instructor: there is a box they need to check when sending an announcement which will then email students.
