SafeAssign DirectSubmit allows faculty to submit a student's work for a plagiarism check, rather than having the students submit their works themselves through an assignment with SafeAssign enabled. This is useful when an instructor has opted to collect work without using SafeAssign, then has questions about the originality of a submission.
Availability
SafeAssign DirectSubmit is only available in classic style courses. Faculty who exclusively use ultra-style courses should contact CETL to be added to a classic-style "DirectSubmit" course site.
How It Works
The DirectSubmit tool lets faculty generate an originality report o na document.
SafeAssign accepts .zip, .doc, .docx, .docm, .ppt, .pptx, .odt, .txt, .pdf, .rtf and .html formats.
Items submitted to DirectSubmit's Private (default) folder are attached to the faculty person's account, and can be viewed from any course site where DirectSubmit is available.
Items submitted to DirectSubmit's Shared folder are attached to the course site, and may be viewed by anyone with access to the DirectSubmit tool in that course.
