You can connect Blackboard to your cloud storage location/s, such as OneDrive or Google Drive. You add files from there to Blackboard much like you would if you were adding files from your computer (so, no need to download a file from OneDrive to your computer just to upload it to Blackboard).
The first time you wish to add a file from your cloud storage, you will need to separately connect each course to your cloud storage location. Once you've connected a cloud storage location to your course, however, you can use it freely -- no need to re-connect each time you need to get a file.
Note: You're still "uploading" files to Blackboard (so if you make changes to the originals you'll need to replace the old versions on Blackboard).
Connecting to your cloud storage location can be done when you add a content item or an assignment (this feature is currently NOT available when inserting an independent file or a file as part of announcement). First click the insert content button in the tool bar.
(If you can’t find this button, first click the three dots button 
).
Then click Insert From Cloud Service.
Choose the web app you want to connect to. Detroit Mercy provides and supports Microsoft OneDrive, but you are not required to use it.
Next, sign in and allow the cloud integration service to connect to your web app.
If you are connecting to OneDrive, this will send you to a new window or tab and have you log in to your Detroit Mercy account. (If you are already logged in on your browser, this should be automatic).
You will now see all of your OneDrive folders and files and can select what you would like.

Choose the Cloud Storage option which is available anywhere you find the toolbar and text box OR anywhere you can add content.
