The Shared Governance Task Force invites faculty from all University of Detroit Mercy campuses to learn about the proposed revisions to the University’s Shared Governance Bylaws and the accompanying Structure and Operations document. During this session, Task Force members will review the proposed changes, explain the rationale behind the revisions, and discuss how shared governance functions at the University. Faculty will have the opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, and offer recommendations before the proposal is shared with the colleges and schools for additional review and subsequently forwarded to all university faculty for consideration and adoption.

Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will be able to: 1. Describe the principles and purpose of shared governance at the University of Detroit Mercy. 2. Explain the proposed revisions to the Shared Governance Bylaws and Structure and Operations document. 3. Identify opportunities to provide meaningful feedback before the proposed revisions move forward through the University’s governance process
