This presentation introduces faculty and staff to the Red Folder, a practical resource for identifying and responding to students in distress. Through an interactive approach, participants will learn to recognize warning signs, engage in supportive and empathetic conversations, and connect students with appropriate campus resources. The session highlights a clear, compassionate, step-by-step framework designed to guide responses in challenging situations. By the end, attendees will feel more confident in their ability to support student well-being.

Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize key signs and behaviors that may indicate a student is experiencing distress or crisis. 2. Respond appropriately using direct, compassionate communication strategies to support students in difficult situations. 3. Refer students effectively to appropriate campus resources using the Red Folder framework.
