Justin Kelly, S.J., has just completed 50 years of teaching at this institution, first in the English Department, then in Religious Studies. His presentation will describe how the university has changed over the past half-century, and how teaching at Detroit Mercy has changed him, both intellectually and personally. 

Session Learning Objectives: 

1. This session will provide a historical perspective to allow participants a means to reflect on their own pedagogical practices. 
2. This session will focus on how a growth mindset can enhance an instructor’s teaching practice.
