Classroom Community, Connectedness, and Collaboration

Date/Time:
March 29, 2022, 12:45 PM

The pandemic has brought numerous changes to how students and instructors engage with course content as well as with each other. As we continue to transition between multiple modes of course delivery, we must develop innovative methods to build a sense of class community and to stay connected with students. As such, the session will demonstrate and review tools to build collaborative assignments as well as discuss methods of fostering better communication (synchronously and asynchronously, in-person and virtually). Time will be provided for participants to discuss their current challenges and to highlight and brainstorm strategies.

After this session, participants will have strategies in place to leverage current technology to communicate and engage with students and to allow students to engage with one another. Attendees will be able to identify and implement tools and applications that lead to student collaboration.

This will be a virtual session hosted via Zoom. Please follow the registration directions provided below. A registration confirmation email will provide attendance details.
