This session will provide an in-depth exploration of how Generative AI (GAI) can enhance the academic research process, and effectively incorporate AI into course design. Participants will engage in practical exercises and discussions, focusing on the application of AI tools for research and education, while also considering the fine balance between academic integrity and traditional academic practices. (60 minute session)

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of this session, participants will be able to: 

  • Apply Generative AI Tools to Research Tasks: Utilize AI to improve research design, literature reviews, data analysis, hypothesis generation, and data visualizations. 
  • Incorporate AI into Curriculum Design: Integrate AI tools into course curricula and research projects in a meaningful way. Design academic assignments and projects that effectively combine AI capabilities with student creativity and critical thinking.
