This session introduces faculty and staff to the work of the Center for Career & Professional Development (CCPD) and its evolving role in supporting student success. Over the years, CCPD has transitioned from a traditional placement-focused office to a comprehensive, student-centered career development hub that emphasizes early engagement, skill development, and equitable access to opportunities. Participants will gain insight into the wide range of services CCPD offers that enhance student access to opportunities. A key focus will be on how faculty and staff can actively collaborate with CCPD to integrate career development into the broader student experience. The session will also highlight the use of Handshake as a central platform for connecting students with employers and promoting opportunities. Additionally, the presentation will address best practices for ethical and compliant employer engagement, ensuring opportunities are vetted, and fostering an equitable recruitment environment that supports diverse student populations.
