How do we intentionally create a culture of belonging where students feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to thrive? Co-created and co-presented with CHASS Student Ambassadors, this interactive session explores the Ambassador Program as a model of peer leadership grounded in cura personalis and Detroit Mercy’s mission. Ambassadors will share how mentorship, event engagement, and digital storytelling foster connection, support student success, and build community. Participants will learn practical strategies for partnering with students as collaborators and leaders while reflecting on how student voice can strengthen belonging, engagement, and mission-centered work across campus.

Learning Objectives: Participants will: 1. Identify ways peer leadership and mentorship can support student belonging and persistence. 2. Explore how co-created programming with students advances cura personalis and mission-centered engagement. 3. Consider practical strategies for integrating student voice, storytelling, and leadership into departmental initiatives and campus culture.
