Summer Workshop: Asynchronous Strategies for Flipped, Hybrid, and Online Classes

Date/Time:
August 8, 2023, 10:00 AM
Location:
McN Library TLC - R324

In this session, we will begin by providing frameworks for building focused learning units that can be utilized throughout the semester, offering consistency and clarity to learners. We will walk you through an efficient module design plan that includes demonstrating the alignment between outcomes and activities from week to week as well as additional features to help students understand course navigation and scaffolding.

After we lay out the design framework, we will provide ideas for formative assessments and assignments to make the most of the delivery mode of the course. We will complete the session by exploring several learner-centered activities that can be implemented in classes across disciplines and course modalities. We will save time at the end of the session for participants to begin brainstorming their own new strategies.
