This workshop is tailored for faculty to enhance their instructional practices and materials to make them more inclusive and accessible to all students in their courses. Participants will delve into key aspects of universal design and accessibility, equipping them with the tools to provide effective instruction that empowers every learner.

We will begin by providing definitions of universal design and how the principles of universal design address why, what, and how we learn. Additional topics will include using accessibility checking tools to ensure all learners can access content, providing multiple means for learners to engage with content, and ensuring materials are presented in a format that is screen-reader-ready. The session will also highlight resources to help faculty utilize Universal Design for Learning concepts and frameworks.
