Online Session Description: Early in the COVID pandemic, higher education experienced a dramatic and unprecedented transition to online learning. A micro-survey was distributed to explore student, staff, and faculty reactions. An open comment question at the end of the survey drew many comments from the participants. The current session focus on the content analysis of student comments to gain insight into student reactions. The analysis identified nineteen topics, which were thought to reflect three themes: Education Quality, Well-being, and External Context Factors. Students were notably serious and concerned about their education. Although stressed, students coped with gratitude and contentment.
